Ideas / 概念


Luo Jiahui (LUO, JIA-HUEI) is a doctoral student I met during an invitation event at the Daxin Art Museum in Guangzhou.

In 2016, both of us were invited to participate in the Daxin Art Museum competition in Guangzhou. My first impression of her was that she was a vegetarian, a noteworthy choice in a region with a rich and diverse culinary landscape where almost anything can be considered food. Her behavior caught my attention.

During those three days, I felt that we got along well, and I had a positive impression of her. She shared many childhood memories and her artistic journey, explaining the reasons behind her vegetarian lifestyle from childhood to the present. In return, I also shared my experiences as an artist. Subsequently, in the following year (2017), during an exhibition at the Daxin Art Museum, I invited her to participate in my portrait project.



羅嘉惠(LUO,JIA-HUEI)是我在廣州(Guangzhou)大新美術館(Daxin Art Museum)的邀請活動中認識的博士班學生。  

2016年，我們兩人都受邀參加廣州(Guangzhou)大新美術獎(Daxin Art Museum)比賽。我對她的第一印像是她是一名素食主義者，在一個擁有豐富多樣烹飪選擇的地區（幾乎任何東西都可以成為食物），這是一個值得注意的選擇。她的行為引起了我的注意。  

那三天，我覺得我們相處的很好，對她的印像也不錯。她分享了許多童年回憶和藝術之旅，解釋了她從小到現在的素食生活方式背後的原因。反過來，我也與她分享了我的創作經驗。於是，第二年（2017年）在大新美術館舉辦展覽時，我邀請她參與我的肖像畫計畫。
