                   Ideas/概念

When we observe a landscape from a distance, we are captivated by the grandeur of the environment and the continuous cycle of life in all things. However, when observed from an extremely close distance, it can reveal the finer, more intricate aspects of everything.

The inspiration for this work arises from my close observation of nature, encompassing clusters of flowers, expanses of forests, and even the growth of fungi, evolving into intricate layers of “beings.” In my eyes, they coexist interdependently, forming a micro-organic universe where the concept of “one being all, and all being one” holds true. Consequently, decaying matters serve as the life source for other organisms, making the decomposition process a pivotal aspect of the recycling ecosystem.

Based on my observations, the symbolic meanings of colors are often more extensive than I initially thought. For instance, colors can symbolize the proliferation of species and danger. What's most fascinating is that they can also symbolize taste and touch. I once touched silky orange fungi, which felt as soft and delicate as cotton. When I squeezed it, the aroma it emitted was reminiscent of the scent of rust and earth, an experience that is deeply etched in my memory.

On my canvas, the meticulous brushwork and the densely layered structure not only function as a visual record of the micro-beings but also translate their olfactory and tactile qualities, allowing viewers to experience a multitude of sensations like smelling and touching those micro-beings through my artwork.

On my canvas, the intricate brushwork and dense layers serve as not only visual records of microorganisms but also an attempt to transform the sensory experiences of smell and touch into visual imagery. My goal is to use my artwork to allow the audience to experience deeper sensations.
